Self-catering holiday accommodation in Bibury
The quintessential Cotswold village of Bibury in Gloucestershire is one of the prettiest in the UK, once described by the celebrated artist William Morris as “the most beautiful village in England”. See for yourself with a wander along the endearing Arlington Row, which is famously one of the Cotswolds’ most photogenic locations. This line of charming weaver’s cottages, built of local stone, bathes in the sunshine alongside the River Coln and the scene is so iconic that it even features in UK passports.
A slice of rural paradise, Bibury features a selection of independent stores, as well as some exceptional eateries including the Catherine Wheel, a family-friendly local pub, and the Swan Brasserie with its seasonally changing menu and sunny courtyard. In the heart of the village you will find Bibury Trout Farm, one of the oldest trout farms in the country (and a great place to catch your supper), along with the picturesque Saxon Church of St. Mary.
Family days out can be enjoyed locally at the Cotswold Wildlife Park or Cotswold Farm Park, while lovers of the great outdoors can wind their way through the colourful gardens of Barnsley House, Batsford Arboretum and Westonbirt Arboretum. For a historical day out be sure to visit Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Winston Churchill and one of our favourite spots for an indulgent afternoon tea, then end your day perfectly by putting your feet up in one of our cosy holiday cottages in Bibury – the ultimate way to immerse yourself in Cotswolds life.
