Lovely cottage in a stunning location. The owners are very friendly and on hand should any problems arise. We have stayed there on five separate occasions and are hoping to go again soon.

We stayed at Ballingers stable between the 26th and 29th March as a treat for my wifes birthday. Upon arrival, we were required to clean out the log burning stove from the previous guests, which according to the visitors book was December 2025! The stable was bitterly cold due to the buildings thick stone walls and single glazing throughout. The eRead morelectric heaters gave out gave out very little warmth to the property, with the only heat coming from the wood burning stove in the lounge, despite which we had to wrap up in blankets off the bed to watch TV, and the first night we slept in all our clothes and two pairs of socks!! The cottage was also infested with woodlice throughout - We picked up and disposed of at least a couple of dozen of the little critters. Overall the converted stable is in need of a complete refresh, as it is looking very tired. Consequently we cannot recommend this holiday let to anyone in the state that it presently is. We were so disappointed with the stable, which is in a beautiful village setting, with a quaint and friendly pub, The Mill which is only a 5 minute walk away. We would also be reticent in recommending Holiday Cottages / Canine Cottages to anyone as the stable cottage had clearly not been checked by the holiday let company recently. We regularly enjoy weekends away, and are sorry for the poor review, but having spent more than 500 for this 3 night break, we feel badly let down. Hide

This was our third visit to Ballingers Stable Cottage and on all occasions we have found it perfect for our needs for a relaxing week away with a medium sized dog as it has a secure courtyard garden. Well situated for visiting a lovely area and convenient for many of the popular Cotswold towns and villages but also with nice walks from the door. IaRead moren and Judi are most welcoming. We will definitely be going again. Hide
