A quirky, fun and romantic retreat nestled at the top of the garden, overlooking an idyllic pond and willow tree, with wood burner, lazy spa and BBQ, providing a perfect escape from everyday life.

Set within three acres, with a gentle unfenced stream bordering the land, making the perfect base for touring the area. Enjoy lovely walks along country lanes, or to the village pub which offers a range of good food. There is much to see and do in the area, including fishing, shopping at the designer outlet at Bicester Village which is a short drive, the Cotswolds with its picturesque villages, Warwick Castle, Waddesdon Manor, Blenheim Palace and numerous National Trust properties and gardens, Silverstone, Henley for its Regatta, Oxford with its spires and much more. Bicester Golf Club and Spa are only a short drive. Even a day trip to London is accessible on the train.

Stepping up into the beautiful hand crafted property you will immediately find yourself in the open-plan kitchen/diner/sleeping area. In the sleeping area you will find a double bed, privately tucked away at one end and with curtains to pull across come bedtime and watch the TV. In the dining area there is small table and chairs perfect for enjoying breakfast and your morning coffee before heading out for the day. After a day exploring snuggle up in front of the wood burner, or open up the French doors onto the spacious decking area, let the outside in and enjoy the waterside views. The compact kitchen area is equipped with an induction hob, oven,  and fridge. There is also a shower room with shower and WC, to prepare for the day ahead. Providing a comfortable stay in this beautiful rustic environment.

The outside area is peaceful and simply gorgeous, the perfect spot to dine al fresco on your private decking area with gas BBQ and a table and chairs, and enjoy the waterside views. In the evenings, enjoy a game of croquet on the lawn, see the resident alpaca in the adjoining field or enjoy a glass of wine in the attractive gardens. Relax in the bubbles of your private inflatable hot tub, with a cold drink or just admire the views. There is off-road parking for one car.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The Alpaca Retreat was the perfect getaway for us. The shepherds hut has everything you could want. We were very warmly welcomed my Amanda and the alpacas. Short but very sweet stay at the Alpaca Retreat. Beautiful Shepherds Hut in peaceful setting. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, watching the fascinating alpacas, toasting marshmallows in the BBQ hut, star gazing and the hot tub and a short stroll through the village to the pub. Absolutely loved our holiday at the alpaca retreat, so relaxing in such an idyllic setting couldnt have asked for more! Lots of places to go locally, the local pubs food is very good! This was the best week we could have had. We came here for our honeymoon and Amanda and Tom went the extra mile to make it so special for us. It was a beautiful place to stay with plenty to do nearby, but it is so lovely you dont even need to leave the cottage - the hot tub is perfect for a day! We would definitely book again.

Wonderful idyllic place to stay ,comfortable, clean ,relaxing surroundings made our week so enjoyable. Our two dogs were safe in the enclosed garden Amanda and Tom were very welcoming and helpful. The surrounding area is perfect for walking, the local pub serves scrumptious and friendly to us and our dogs .perfect place ,will definitely return .

Lovely setting at the Alpaca Retreat. We were warmly welcomed by Amanda and Tom, who struck a good balance of being on hand if needed, but not intrusively so. Amazing holiday in a super relaxing spot. Accomodation is comfortable,quirky ,and very clean with everything you need. Loved our time here- we used all the facilities- bbq hut, hot tub and fire pit. We also visited the local pub for a great dinner. The accommodation is cosy and clean. There is very little to do in the immediate area but we visited Waddesdon Manor which was a great day out. The alpacas were great and so tolerant of our very interested pooch!

Loved it! Lovely location, very relaxing, facilities were excellent and the hosts were really friendly and helpful. We loved feeding and getting to know the inquistive alpacas and watching some of the wildlife that visited the pond. Amanda has done a great job in using all the space and it never felt too small. Stunning, compact and cosy accommodation. The bed area is snug and comfy and there is a decent sized bathroom and walk in shower with gel provided. There are 2 table top electric hobs available which were extremely quick to heat up and use. Really cozy shepherds hut! Hot tub was warm upon arrival and the prosecco on ice was a really nice touch! The alpacas are the perfect addition to the garden area and being able to hand feed them was a great experience. Amanda and tom were great hosts and really helpful.

We had such an amazing stay. Amanda made us feel so welcome as soon as we arrived even helping us with our bags. Tom even drove my husband home at a nearby town as he had a work meeting during the week. We were blown away by the views and knew that we were going to have a much needed relaxing stay. This beautiful shephards hut is perfect for an escape to the country. If you are looking to get away for a few days this is perfect. Amanda was very accommodating, she also bought us more marshmallows for the fire and was there to help with anything else we needed.

Absolutely loved our stay here! So peaceful and relaxing, perfect size for two of us and the dog! Had planned to do lots of walking but the cabin was so cosy with the log burner that we didnt want to venture out! Highly recommend!

Wonderfully cosy Shepherds Hut, our host, Amanda couldnt have been more welcoming (the Prosecco was a great touch) - Star, the lurcher made very welcome too! Bring carrots for Wallace the Alpaca! Really peaceful spot - thank you

An absolutely stunning place to stay, the hut itself was so clean and well equipped and cosy due to the under floor heating and fire, plus having Netflix was great. The host Amanda was so welcoming and had thought of everything! Located in a beautiful rural area with some nice local pubs. Best part of the stay was Wallace the alpaca who was such a Read moresweetheart, we hope to stay again when he's got a couple of friends! Would highly recommend this cottage and wish we had a couple more nights there! Hide

This popular tourist destination in Gloucestershire is home to 150 glorious lakes where angling, archery, wakeboarding, windsurfing, birdwatching and even rally driving can be experienced. On a balmy summers day, the Cotswold Country Park and Beach is the place to go, boasting the largest inland beach in the UK.

When it comes to attractions in the Cotswolds, visitors will be spoilt for choice. Grab a stylish bargain at Bicester shopping village, talk a walk on the wild side at Longleat Safari Park, experience a day at the races in Cheltenham, admire colourful blooms at Westonbirt Arboretum, keep the kids entertained at the Cotswolds Farm Park, take a tour around Gloucester Cathedral, and enjoy an indulgent afternoon tea at Blenheim Palace.
