A quirky, fun and romantic retreat nestled at the top of the garden, overlooking an idyllic pond and willow tree, with wood burner, lazy spa and BBQ, providing a perfect escape from everyday life.

Set within three acres, with a gentle unfenced stream bordering the land, making the perfect base for touring the area. Enjoy lovely walks along country lanes, or to the village pub which offers a range of good food. There is much to see and do in the area, including fishing, shopping at the designer outlet at Bicester Village which is a short drive, the Cotswolds with its picturesque villages, Warwick Castle, Waddesdon Manor, Blenheim Palace and numerous National Trust properties and gardens, Silverstone, Henley for its Regatta, Oxford with its spires and much more. Bicester Golf Club and Spa are only a short drive. Even a day trip to London is accessible on the train.

Stepping up into the beautiful hand crafted property you will immediately find yourself in the open-plan kitchen/diner/sleeping area. In the sleeping area you will find a double bed, privately tucked away at one end and with curtains to pull across come bedtime and watch the TV. In the dining area there is small table and chairs perfect for enjoying breakfast and your morning coffee before heading out for the day. After a day exploring snuggle up in front of the wood burner, or open up the French doors onto the spacious decking area, let the outside in and enjoy the waterside views. The compact kitchen area is equipped with an induction hob, oven,  and fridge. There is also a shower room with shower and WC, to prepare for the day ahead. Providing a comfortable stay in this beautiful rustic environment.

The outside area is peaceful and simply gorgeous, the perfect spot to dine al fresco on your private decking area with gas BBQ and a table and chairs, and enjoy the waterside views. In the evenings, enjoy a game of croquet on the lawn, see the resident alpaca in the adjoining field or enjoy a glass of wine in the attractive gardens. Relax in the bubbles of your private inflatable hot tub, with a cold drink or just admire the views. There is off-road parking for one car.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The host is extremely kind and friendly. The place was very relaxing and peaceful! We had all cutleries and essentials catered. The place is warm and the log burner is easy to use to keep it even warmer on winter/cold nights! The scenery is pretty and the the shops arent too far away either. Great views surrounding the place. This little shepherds hut is fantastic. The location is perfect, it is only 10 minutes from the town of Bicester but you feel like you are in the middle of no where. Absolutely fantastic little cabin, a little bit of luxury in the countryside. The lovely owner make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Wallace was the alpaca was a great little pet, roaming around in the huge garden. I could not recommend the alpaca retreat enough, we will be back!

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at The Alpaca Retreat. Wallace the Alpaca was a joy and shared our garden for the duration of our stay. The shepherds hut was fabulous. The log burner, hot tub and a welcome bottle of Prosecco were all such lovely touches. The BBQ hut was also a superb idea. We will be returning.

This beautiful shephards hut is perfect for an escape to the country. If you are looking to get away for a few days this is perfect. Amanda was very accommodating, she also bought us more marshmallows for the fire and was there to help with anything else we needed.

Absolutely loved our stay here! So peaceful and relaxing, perfect size for two of us and the dog! Had planned to do lots of walking but the cabin was so cosy with the log burner that we didnt want to venture out! Highly recommend!

An absolutely stunning place to stay, the hut itself was so clean and well equipped and cosy due to the under floor heating and fire, plus having Netflix was great. The host Amanda was so welcoming and had thought of everything! Located in a beautiful rural area with some nice local pubs. We had 4 nights at the hut. Amanda was very friendly and helpful, we was treated to a bottle of prosecco, and was kindly offered to come a day early and leave later, free of charge. The hut seems larger once inside and very cosy. We really enjoyed making use of the log burner in the colder evenings and snuggling up in bed watching Netflix. Think Ive found my bolt hole! Dogs were happy, although Im not sure Wallace will welcome us back Even though the weather was rainy, it not stop us getting out & exploring Waddendon Estate. I just worried about the muddy floor!
