Peacefully tucked away, Mellowstone is a Grade II listed village house located in Broadway’s beautiful, honey stone coloured, Upper High Street. This charming rose-clad cottage has been tastefully finished and combines a wealth of period features.

Broadway is one of the most historic and beautiful Cotswold villages and is situated at the northern gateway to the area. Here you can enjoy a short walk to visit the bustling High Street where you can pick up supplies from the local deli or enjoy a lazy brunch in one of the many cafés or restaurants, and for the more serious shopper, there are a number of independent shops and boutiques. For the more adventurous why not enjoy the outdoors with a walk up to the famous Broadway Tower or join the Cotswold Way which starts from the market hall in Chipping Campden and ends in front of Bath Abbey. Further afield you will find the Malvern Hills and Three Counties Showground; Stratford upon Avon with its Shakespeare Theatre and horse racing; Regency Cheltenham, which is famous for the Gold Cup Festival and many other events throughout the year. Broadway Railway Station has now re-opened after 58 years with historic steam trains running to, and from, the village to Cheltenham Race Course (please check events and availability).

Enjoy the lavender scent from the lovely front garden as you arrive at the front door of this historic cottage. The main door for guests provides access to the kitchen, with low ceilings and exposed beams complemented by a stylish and well-equipped kitchen, including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a table and chairs that’s perfect for breakfast and French doors that open on the walled cottage garden. Continue into the hallway where you can access the lounge, here you can relax with friends after a days walking, sink back into the sofas and enjoy a movie on the TV. There is also a formal dining room which has a large table and chairs. The bedrooms are located on two floors. On the first floor, there are two bedrooms, a large double with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC and a twin room. In addition, there is a separate bathroom with shower over bath and WC. On the second floor, there is a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, including a separate shower and WC.

A stunning cottage in a beautiful, very central location, with the benefit of garage parking and a lovely cottage garden. Although centrally situated it was very quiet both during the day and at night. A very generous welcome pack together with a very well equipped house made for a very small shopping list on day 1. It was also nice not to have to Read moretuck in protective blankets on the sofa and chairs (which were, by the way, immaculate). Hide

The house is extremely well equipped and spotlessly clean. The position is in a very quiet part of the High Street yet only a few minutes walk to the excellent shops. There is a welcome of a few treats for guests which is thoughtful and much appreciated.
