Enjoying a tranquil setting in the heart of historic Blockley, yet within walking distance of traditional village pub, artisan cafe, and excellent community owned village shop.

The traditional English village of Blockley is nestled in a charming valley remains unspoiled, its a clever mix of stone cottages, surrounding countryside and meandering mill stream all creating the perfect backdrop for a stay in the Cotswolds. The village is well-served by a handful of traditional inns and a village community store with artisan café. You are well placed to explore the Cotswolds with many pretty market towns and villages to include Stow-on-the-Wold, Lower Slaughter, Broadway, Chipping Campden, Bourton on the Water and Burford. Further afield is the historic town of Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare’s birthplace and Cheltenham, home to the famous horse racing, the literature and food festival. More local attractions include Chastleton House and Gardens, Sudeley Castle, Daylesford organic farm shop and Burford. The entrance to this charming cottage is accessed via the pretty cottage garden. Step inside and take a seat on the wooden bench where you can remove your muddy boots. The kitchen/diner is brimming with character and finished with a contemporary twist. The bespoke wooden units are topped with curved granite worktops, offering a small breakfast bar where you can enjoy a quick morning coffee. For the chef, an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, American style fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. For dining a traditional farmhouse table and chairs. The lounge is accessed by a cottage style staircase with latch doors, here you can sink into the large sofa in front of the wood-burning stove, or simply relax in the window seat and enjoy a good book. When the day is done, a staircase leads to the first-floor landing where you will find a double bedroom enjoying views across the garden and rooftops. This is a shower room with WC also on this floor. A further staircase offers access to a twin room, beautifully finished with rooftop views. Outside the cottage enjoys an enclosed cottage garden with a table and chairs with charcoal BBQ. There is off-road parking for two cars and storage for bikes.
