An escape to the idyllic countryside of the Cotswolds is a superb choice if you are looking for a traditional English holiday with rural trappings. Come and enjoy the open green spaces of the Cotswolds and stay in a rustic former farmhouse or a converted barn and experience a different pace of life away from the large towns and cities. Big sky views, farm animals, glorious sunrises and sunsets, long country walks and the peace and quiet you’ve been looking for is waiting for you to enjoy.
Woodlands, meadows, farm fields, copses, rivers, lakes and hill ranges characterise the landscapes of the Cotswolds making it one of the prettiest holiday destinations in the west of England. Visit the villages of the area with its honey coloured stone buildings and distinctive local architecture. Bourton-on-the-Water, Chipping Norton and Stow-on-the-Wold are typical of the larger villages and offer shops and pubs to visit too. Further afield is Stratford-upon-Avon if you like William Shakespeare, or Tewkesbury if you like to visit the sites of famous English Civil War battles.
