A beautifully designed first-floor retreat, this delightful apartment overlooks fields near Winchcombe, on the edge of the rolling Cotswolds. Sleeping six guests, the three-bedroom, dog-friendly apartment is ideal for families and groups wishing to immerse themselves in outdoor activities while also being close to shops and eateries. Head into the attractive market town of Winchcombe (1 mile) to wander the pretty streets and pause for afternoon tea in a friendly cafe, or a pint of local ale in a timbered inn. Cheltenham, with its array of shopping areas, restaurants, and leisure facilities, is 9.5 miles away. Visit picture-postcard Broadway, 7 miles from the apartment. Climb up to the tower while you're here to take in the panoramic views out across the Cotswolds. Follow picturesque footpaths and trails, including the Cotswold Way, which runs close by. Amble through the magnificent grounds and elegant gardens at historic Sudeley Castle (1.5 miles).

Step into the barn from the side and find yourself in a handy boot room, where you can leave shoes, wellies, and other outdoor gear. Your main accommodation is set on the top floor of the barn, offering an airy space and a clean, contemporary finish. At the heart of the apartment is the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, which has a vaulted ceiling and skylight windows. Open the French doors to the garden terrace during spring and summer stays, so you can all meander out into the sunshine. Make coffee, then perch on a stool at the breakfast bar while the chosen chef in your party produces the next delicious meal in the stylish kitchen. Gather around the table for jolly holiday meals, or relax in the lounge space to watch a film on the Smart TV together. There is even a pool table for your entertainment. When you are ready to retire for the night, head through to one of the three inviting bedrooms. The two double rooms and the cosy twin all promise a perfect night’s sleep. Serving the bedrooms are a well-appointed family bathroom and a separate WC.

Carry lunch out into the sunshine of the terrace during the warmer months. Cook out here on the BBQ and gaze out across the fields. Follow the steps down to the enclosed garden, so any children or pets in your party can play on the grass. There is also private parking for three cars.

We had a great 4 night stay (wish it could gave been longer). The owners Vicky and family are extremely friendly and welcoming and really just want you to have the best time. The Barn is very spacious and warm, the open plan area is great with comfortable lounge area for watching tv or engaging with the cooks in the lovely kitchen. There is also a Read morelarge dining area for eating and playing games and a great patio area just off the kitchen that is a real sun trap and lovely to sit out in. The location is great and we had fantastic weather and enjoyed short walks at Sudley Castle, Cleeve Hill and Broadway, all of which are close by. Hide
