The vibrant market town of Moreton-in-Marsh, situated on the Fosse Way, and now served by the main line railway from London Paddington is the location of this lovely cottage. Why not explore the high street on foot and discover honey-coloured stone buildings housing tearooms, antique stores, art galleries, and eateries? For walkers, a wealth of waymarked paths will take you deeper into the breathtaking countryside. Or you could discover the neighbouring towns and villages of Stow-on-the-Wold (4.5 miles), Lower Slaughter (7 miles), Broadway (10 miles), and Burford (14.5 miles). Further afield are the historic towns of Stratford-upon-Avon (16.5 miles) – Shakespeare’s birthplace, and Cheltenham (23.5 miles), home of a literature and food festival. More local attractions include Chastleton House and Gardens, Hidcote Manor, Daylesford Organic, and Batsford Arboretum – all excellent days out.

Take in the beauty of this terrace of cottages before stepping into the porch where you can leave your walking boots behind. The lounge is lovingly decorated with a great mix of both old and new, with exposed beams and a stone fireplace, enhanced by rich soft furnishings and window shutters. After a full day of adventures, light the wood burner and sink into the sofa; there is a TV just perfect for a good old-fashioned movie night. Step on through into the handcrafted kitchen/diner – a stylish space enhanced by the light-coloured worktops which blend perfectly into the character of the room. This kitchen is well equipped with everything you might need to self-cater during your stay, and a dining table sits to the side where you can enjoy views of the garden through the French doors. When night falls, climb the stairs to the master suite, boasting a super-king-size bed that will give you a great night’s sleep. The room is adorned in rich colours, embellished with artwork and finished with stylish shutters. Step into the en-suite bathroom where you can enjoy a bath for two in the side-by-side freestanding slipper baths. There is also a shower room with WC on the ground floor.

Step outside and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening sun –  the south-facing courtyard garden sits to the rear of the cottage, complete with a table and chairs alongside colourful pots and outdoor lighting.

Just spent 5 nights at Moreton cottage and it was a fabulous perfect place to stay. Just around the corner from the main high street in a lovely quiet spot. The cottage itself was immaculate and catered for your every need. Host left some nice treats on arrival too so thank you. Loved the under floor heating too as it was cold but with beautiful blRead moreue skies the whole time we were there. Moreton in Marsh is a great place we love it and have visited many times. Lovely cottage in a quiet but central village location. Loved the Super King bed & the slippers baths - side by side - ideal for sharing a romantic bottle of bubbly!

A beautiful cottage with a very comfy bed, 2 baths which my wife adores and an excellent shower. The cottage was tastily decorated for Christmas and the underfloor heating was gorgeous, a very spacious 1 bed cottage with deco themes for each room. A large driveway for 2 cars. We will definitely book again. 10/10 because we love it.

Moreton Cottage is beautiful, peaceful, tranquil and really close to amenities. The owner has thought of everything. We received a lovely welcome hamper including some necessities and a bottle of Prosseco. It is beautifully decorated and dressed. Everything is lovely quality. A really luxurious holiday accommodation!
