Lovely cottage that was well equipped, very homely. We managed the stairs fine, but some may struggle, the open fire was lovely for cosy evening's in. Great location for exploring the Cotswolds, we got the bus from Stow to Moreton in the Marsh and Bourton on the water.

A great little cottage, warm and cosy, fantastic open fire and has plenty of kitchenware to host 10 people plus, as we had family visit on Boxing Day.

Beautiful modernised 17th century cottage which has retained essential features. Immaculately clean and well equipped. Cottage is in a great location for the village facilities, a short stomp to Stow on the Wold and so so many great places in short drive distances or even walking Yes the stairs are steep and yes the top floor bedroom has some heighRead moret restrictions but so long as you know and are reasonably nibble (we were a 70's couple and a mid to late 60's couple ) you can cope with it. We really enjoyed our stay in the Michaelmas cottage in Lower Swell. The cottage is charming, tastefully decorated and fully equipped. The kitchen is fully equipped, making cooking a breeze. The bathrooms are modern and tidy with lovely showers and a bath. The location is ideal: a peaceful setting, yet close to the charming town of Stow on the WoldRead more. A perfect base for exploring the beautiful Cotswolds, both by car and on foot. In short, a comfortable and cozy stay- highly recommended! Hide

Generally a very well equipped cottage within good proximity of Stow on the Wold. It is reasonably spacious but climbing the stairs is a challenge as they are steep and narrow. The owners have made a number of helpful touches such as a cabinet in the hall for torches.
