You can embrace the outdoors with waymarked paths for both walking and cycling, follow the riverside walks from Strensham Lock, or enjoy a day’s fishing on the River Avon, within half a mile. This area has a year-round events calendar: follow the Blossom Trail in springtime, the Asparagus Festival in the summer, and attend the Plum Festival in autumn. A paradise for walkers of all abilities and stamina (great for the kids), there is easy access to Bredon Hill, 4 miles away and made famous by AE Houseman’s ‘A Shropshire Lad’, and the Wychavon Way, 3 miles.

Fantastic house, well appointed and very comfortable beds. Loved the private garden which is dog safe. The location is a short walk from a river with locks, and several walks. Both local pubs are worth visiting, and a short hop over the railway bridge. Easy drive to many of the famous Cotswolds villages. Cannot fault it.
