Winchcombe is a small town with a selection of period properties to admire and a handful of shops to browse, as well as tea rooms and pubs. There is so much to explore in the surrounding areas, from the vast Cleeve Common with its rare plants, to Belas Knap long barrow, Hailes Abbey, Stanway House, and Snowshill. Sudeley Castle is just a short walk across the fields, or take a 25-mile round-trip by steam train from Toddington. The family will love a visit to Cotswold Farm Park, home of Adam Henson, or the Regency spa town of Cheltenham is only seven miles away. Stratford and Oxford are within an hour's drive, and popular Cotswold towns Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water are within easy reach.

High ceilings and exposed beams give this barn conversion a sense of space and elegance as you enter the lounge. A piano sits in the corner and there is a selection of books and games to choose from, with comfortable soft furnishings to relax on, a TV/DVD for when you want to catch up on your favourite shows you’ve missed, and a gas fired remote control wood burner effect fire to keep everyone warm in winter. The beautifully fitted country-style kitchen is a large area, containing everything you might need during your stay, including an electric oven and gas hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. There is a separate utility room housing a washing machine and ironing facilities, and next to floor to ceiling windows is a dining table to seat up to six people looking out over the garden. One of the two bedrooms is located on the ground floor, with beautiful beams and a king-size bed, and the large wet room is also on the lower level, with a walk-in shower and WC. There are stairs leading to a mezzanine floor where there is a fold-out futon (a small 4ft double), and a TV for playing DVDs on (there is no aerial for this TV). The second bedroom has a super-king-size zip-and-link bed (can be made into twin singles on request at time of booking), and has a small en-suite WC.

Outside there is an enclosed garden with a large bench and a BBQ, perfect for dining on a summer’s evening whilst looking across at the surrounding countryside. .

The barn is great, it's well equipped for cooking and for relaxing with plenty of books, some games and puzzles even a piano, it's set in beautiful countryside and on a clear night is great for stargazing. Wonderful wildlife, the white squirrel was a fabulous sight. The barn is comfy and homely and we enjoyed our family stay here.

Our 2nd visit this year. As always we enjoyed the perfect location of the barn. It's so peaceful to sit out in the early morning or evening. This visit was during a hot spell so enjoyed both breakfast and evening meal outside. Beautiful sunset. The barn works perfectly well for us as I use walking sticks. We've been visiting since 2022 ( sometimes Read moretwice a year) so we look forward to our next visit. Picking fruit from the orchard was a real treat, thanks Charlie. Dianne &Tim Jackson Hide

If you want peace and tranquility, this is the place to be. The barn was fabulous, as it was last year as well, plenty of room for our disabled son and ourselves. 2 glorious weeks again. If all goes well we will be back next year for another 2 weeks.

An excellent barn conversion and a great experience if you have ever considered an alternative to traditional accommodation. Peaceful surroundings but only a 10 to 15 minute walk into Winchcombe. Many of the Cotswolds towns and villages within a 10 to 30 minute drive away. Very comfortable accommodation with lovely owners.

A wonderfully relaxing place to spend the week. The barn and surrounding area are beautiful and such an easy walk into Winchcombe for a few beers , food and shopping. We would have done more walking but had other things arranged but did mange a fab 10 miles. We even saw one of the very rare white squirrels. A big thank you to the owner.
