Located at the beating heart of the Cotswolds National Landscape, this superb lodge-style cabin invites you to escape to the countryside with your nearest and dearest, enjoying nature walks and wildlife hikes. This rural retreat sits just 1.5 miles from the Gloucestershire village of Coaley, where a community shop and welcoming country pub provide convenient refreshment stops. Hike to Coaley Peak (2 miles), a scenic picnic spot offering sweeping views across the Severn Vale, before descending into Woodchester Park (3 miles), a wooded valley cared for by the National Trust. Around 1.5 miles away, the well-trodden Cotswold Way offers an easy-to-follow route through this idyllic corner of the region. The nearest large town, Stroud (7 miles), is a hub of traditional English charm, with a lively high street featuring eclectic shops, popular farmers’ markets and a wide choice of appealing eateries.

This purpose-built cabin features a traditionally styled exterior, complete with wood panelling and a raised, decked terrace. Inside, the accommodation is bright, spacious and easy to navigate, with all rooms laid out on a single level. On arrival, leave coats and boots in the entranceway and take advantage of the handy utility area with laundry facilities. The open-plan living space features a contemporary kitchen, a circular dining table, and a comfortable lounge area opposite. With cosy seating, a warming wood burner and a Smart TV, this is a welcoming spot to unwind after long days spent hiking, biking and exploring. At the far end of the lodge, two bedrooms promise restful nights: a generous king-size room with fresh linens and a comfortable mattress, and an equally inviting twin bedroom. The king-size benefits from an en-suite shower room, while the twin has sole use of the family bathroom, complete with a shower over the bath.

Step outside onto the enclosed terrace, elevated above the surrounding fields and furnished with outdoor seating and a BBQ. The working farm itself features a patchwork of fields that guests are welcome to explore and friendly resident farm animals that visitors are invited to meet in the fields over the 250 acre farm. Private parking for two cars completes the offering.

A very enjoyable week at a perfect place to stay. The lodge was lovely and suited our needs exactly. Very dog friendly garden, kitchen well stocked to cook in. Pub a walk away and lots of excellent walks from the lodge. Tesco 10 minute drive away. Would definitely recommend.

Clean and spacious. Good shower room and bathroom. Very pleased with decent reading light in a sensible place. A little lacking in crockery and pans. Beautiful countryside.

The lodge was spacious and well equipped. The views were spectacular and we even had the addition of new born lambs in the field at the bottom of the garden. The benefit of a secure garden helped with the dog. The local Tesco supermarket was only a 10 minute drive along with local shops.
