Just 3 miles from the medieval market town of Chipping Sodbury, this pet-friendly lodge is well-suited to couples and small families. The village lies directly on the route of the Cotswold Way long-distance walking trail, offering excellent walking opportunities from the doorstep, including a particularly scenic section leading to a nearby Iron Age hillfort. The property is positioned on the fringes of the Cotswolds National Landscape, renowned for its quintessential villages such as Bisley (22 miles) and Slad (21 miles). The historic village of Painswick (22 miles), known for its churchyard with 99 yew trees and its striking rococo garden, makes an enjoyable day trip. Westonbirt National Arboretum (9.5 miles) and the National Trust’s Dyrham Park (7 miles) are also within easy reach. For shopping, dining and cultural attractions, the vibrant cities of Bath and Bristol are both located within 15 miles.

Step inside, a small entrance hall offers access to a dining room with seating for four that is perfect for relaxed meals and has the benefit of a wood burner. From here you will access a cosy sitting room with its wood burner and Smart TV– it’s an inviting space to unwind after a day exploring the surrounding countryside. The well-equipped kitchen set off the entrance hall makes self-catering effortless, with a gas hob, electric oven, fridge, dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine. The lodge offers two comfortable bedrooms at the top of a narrow staircase: a king-size master bedroom and a second bedroom with bunk beds with built in drawer for storage underneath. The modern bathroom is designed for comfort and convenience, featuring both a bath and a separate shower. Practical touches include a utility and boot room with a washer/dryer.

Outside, the front garden offers space for dining, with a comfortable table and chairs that’s perfect for informal outdoor mealtimes. Driveway parking for three cars is available.
