This lovely cottage is located in the idyllic village of Eckington on the northwest side of Bredon Hill, a haven for walkers and wildlife lovers. There is a friendly community atmosphere with two fantastic pubs and a village shop for guests to take advantage of. The area provides ample opportunities for outdoor activities like walking, hiking, and cycling, or simply just enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The area has a thriving events calendar with the Blossom Trail and Plum Festival being two of the year’s highlights. Enjoy riverside walks along the River Avon (0.5 miles), or for the more adventurous, head out onto the river on a canoe. Enjoy panoramic views from Bredon Hill (4 miles), with waymarked trails for all abilities. The popular village of Broadway is just 14 miles away and serves as the gateway to the Cotswolds, an area of outstanding natural beauty, with many picturesque towns and villages to explore. Cheltenham is only 12 miles away, perfect for a day at the races.

You will find the cottage along a quiet lane amongst a handful of converted barns, all enjoying an idyllic location in rural Worcestershire. Head into the cottage and straight into the large conservatory, which is used as a dining room and will comfortably seat eight guests, overlooking the large, enclosed gardens. When not enjoying a family meal, it is an ideal spot to get lost in a book whilst keeping an eye on the children playing in the garden. Move through into the modern and spacious kitchen which has everything you need for a self-catered break. The house wonderfully blends the traditional with the modern, and the kitchen is a lovely example of that. Next up is the lounge, which has a true farmhouse feel to it with traditional features and wood burning stove. Curl up on the sofa and enjoy a movie on the Smart TV. Off the lounge is the first king-size bedroom and there is a bathroom next to it with a shower over the bath. This ground-floor bedroom makes this cottage an ideal choice for multi-generational families visiting the area. Upstairs are two further bedrooms, both king-size, along with a shower room. All the bedrooms are spacious and light and enjoy views across the countryside.

Make your way back through the conservatory and into the beautiful gardens which are enclosed, allowing children and dogs to roam freely. Children will love the endless play equipment whilst the grown-ups can enjoy a drink and cook up a storm on the charcoal BBQ. There is ample space for a competitive game of football, or for anyone who wants to enjoy some time to themselves out in the sunshine in one of the seating areas. There is shared use of a pingpong table in the shared undercover courtyard area and kayaks and paddle boards can be launched from the owner’s campsite. Parking is available for 2 cars and there is a lockable storage area for bikes in the garden.

Everything we needed in the cottage and garden. Beds were very comfortable as was the lounge. It was important that the garden was completely enclosed so the dogs were safe.

Excellent stay for 3 adult couples. The selling point of this house was the three proper double beds for ourselves and our adult children with their married spouses. However the landlords gave excellent service bringing us a bag of logs for the stunning open fire at 8pm on the Friday night, and checking unobtrusively if all was ok. We felt very welcome and settled in quickly around the lovely big log burner. The dogs enjoyed the wrap around secure garden and were able to explore on their own.
