Often referred to as the Venice of the Cotswolds Bourton-on-the-Water is one of the more vibrant villages with a busy high street that sits on the banks of the river Windrush. The village is a great start for any stay in the Cotswolds with a variety of attractions. Take a step back in time and visit the Museum or simply take a wander around the Model Village, Birdland is just perfect for nature lovers. For a lazy afternoon why not take a picnic by the river, or try one of the many tea shops. The neighbouring villages are all worth a visit Lower Slaughter, Broadway, Stow-on-the-Wold and Burford to name but a few.
Drive through the gates into this private mews of honey coloured stone houses, the hallway offers a warm welcome, and is the perfect place to leave your coats and boots after a day exploring. The open-plan lounge/diner offers a great space for a family, with a comfortable corner sofa creating a space to enjoy a movie or on a rainy day a board game, the dining area with table and chairs takes centre stage with French doors that open onto the gardens. The kitchen contemporary in style and well-equipped offers electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a separate WC on this floor. When the day is done climb the stairs to the first floor where you will find two bedrooms, one double and one twin which can be made into a king-size on request at time of booking. There is a bathroom on this floor with bath, seperate shower and WC. Climb to the second floor and you will find a king-size bedroom with zip-and-link beds which can be made into a twin on request, at time of booking, along with an en-suite shower and WC.
Open the French doors and step outside onto the patio, the enclosed garden offers a seating area that is perfect for a supper outside or a lazy afternoon. There is private allocated parking for two cars.
