This charming cottage is nestled in the village of Cleeve Prior on the Worcestershire/Warwickshire border. Enthusiastic walkers will relish the direct access to open countryside from the doorstep with several nature walks and trails around the village, as well as proximity to Chipping Campden, 10 miles away, and the starting point of the Cotswold Way. A little further south lies the heart of the Cotswolds with many traditional villages and market towns to explore, including Moreton-in-Marsh (18 miles), Bourton-on-the-Water (24 miles), Broadway (7.5 miles) and Stow-on-the-Wold (16 miles). History and literature buffs will enjoy a day trip to the medieval market town and birthplace of Shakespeare, Stratford-upon-Avon (7.5 miles). The area is also well served by the National Trust with properties and gardens such as Anne Hathaway’s Cottage and Hidcote Manor, both under 10 miles away. For family fun, visit Stratford Butterfly Farm (10 miles) and All Things Wild (5.5 miles).

Pass through the cottage gate and wander down the pathway to the quaint, covered front door of this inviting property. The spacious entrance hall has plenty of room for walking boots and your outdoor attire. Stroll through to the welcoming and cosy lounge, which boasts traditional exposed beams, characterful low ceilings, and a feature inglenook fireplace with a wood-burner-effect electric fire, all adding to the ambience of this space. Settle in here after days spent exploring and stream your favourite programmes on the Roku box. Take a step up into the well-equipped farmhouse kitchen, where you’ll find everything you need for cooking holiday meals, before settling together to eat in the tastefully designed dining room, which has plenty of space for the group. The refreshing bathroom is just off the hallway with a shower over the bath and WC. Head up the staircase to find the two bedrooms, a king-size with WC and an inviting twin. Both bedrooms feature further beams and sloped ceilings and offer a relaxing and restful night's sleep.

Already posted a review on Facebook. We loved our week at Upper House Cottage, a gorgeous little hideaway thats perfect for exploring the beautiful Cotswolds. A lovely, well equipped and quirky base from which to explore the Cotswolds and beyond. There's plenty to do within a thirty minute driving radius, walks from the front door and friendly nearby pubs. We could have happily filled a second week.

Beautiful and comfortable cottage. Welcome hamper very well received. The location is great too as you can visit Broadway, Stratford-Upon-Avon easily. Only downside I can think of is the roof upstairs is a bit low and tall people can have problems as I ended up banging my head a couple of times but if you keep this in mind and walk, the cottage is Read moreamazing and value for money. The owners live next door and always there to help and respond quickly. Overall, lovely cottage and would recommend it. Hide

This is a beautifully appointed cottage in a lovely location. Spotlessly clean and very cosy and comfortable. The welcome hamper was plentiful and very welcomed. Pippa was great at communicating swiftly and efficiently. I would 100% recommend this cottage.

Fantastic, comfy, cozy and surprisingly spacious cottage. Well equipped awesome king size bed too. Lovely location with lots of local dog walks across countryside or down and along the River Avon. The cottage is amazing, the attention to deal is outstanding and the cottage has a lovely welcoming and comfortable feeling. We loved the cottage - very peaceful. We were able to enjoy several different riverside walks accessible from the cottage. The cottage is well equipped ( no washing machine) and a lovely welcome hamper on our arrival. The nearest shop is by car at least 10-15 minutes away. The cottage is ideally situated for visiting nearby Stratford on Avon and seRead moreveral other pretty villages. Easy to access when we arrived. A lovely welcome of beautiful flowers and well stocked hamper and some bubbly which I thought was such a nice surprise. The cottage is really quaint. Fabulous location. Lovely cottage, equipped with all we needed. Host Pippa was an absolute gem. Recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good quiet and comfortable getaway.
