This duo of thoughtfully designed holiday cottages is the ideal solution for accommodating family groups up to 14. It is also set in a lovely rural location.

The complex is found nestling by fields, a paddock and a couple of cottages dotted around as your neighbours, but it’s a largely secluded position. Cote is a small village close to Bampton for local pubs and shops or for main shopping area you have Witney, four miles away. The wonderful city of historical and academic Oxford is about 30 minutes' drive, Stratford-upon-Avon, for a thoroughly Shakespearean experience or Cheltenham, for horse racing, are accessible within an hour. Being a couple of hours to London or Birmingham with reasonable access to the motorway networks, this is a good central location for groups to meet.

 

Coming into the larger of the two properties you will encounter a large entrance hall. Going through you can enjoy the large lounge with ample comfortably seating and a TV/DVD. The large dining room can comfortably seat 8, - or 14 diners with some combining of furniture from the two cottages (the owner asks that everything is returned at the end of your stay). The spacious well-equipped kitchen comes complete with a dishwasher, microwave, double range oven and hob, two fridges and a freezer. There is also a separate utility room with Belling sink, washing machine and tumble dryer. In this part of the house there is a ground floor twin bedroom, with the option to add an additional third single bed if required, it also has a ensuite shower room with WC. Upstairs in this property you will find a further three bedrooms: one king-size  with an en-suite shower over the bath and WC, a further double bedroom and a bedroom containing twin beds. All bedrooms have TVs. Close by is a family bathroom for convenience with a shower over the bath and WC. In the smaller cottage, you enter through the kitchen, which comes equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, oven and hob, fridge, freezer and washing machine. There is an open-plan lounge/diner with ample seating and a TV/DVD. There is also a sofa bed for hire. Close by is a spacious double bedroom with a king-size bed, and a bathroom with a shower over bath and WC. Dogs are welcome in the larger property but not the smaller one.

 

Head outside to the large patio garden with BBQ to relax and socialise in. There is also ample off-road parking next to the two properties.

In a tranquil setting, with lots of space, this is the perfect base for a Cotswold break. We were 3 families (4 generations). We had both properties. Lots of kitchen equipment, high chairs and cot as needed , plenty of seating inside and out. Would also suit a group of adults. Highly recommend. For anyone with children, the Cotwsold Wildlife Park iRead mores a must. Hide

For an annual get together of old school friends and partners, Orchard Barn proved to be a perfect place to stay. Clean and cosy, it has every angle covered and we all very quickly felt at home. Host Pippa was also extremely helpful and very responsive to our needs. We hope to return.

Just returned from a week in Orchard Barn and Thames View that was very enjoyable. Nine 'oldies' found it to be spacious and light with modern fittings, plenty of kitchen utensils and enough champagne glasses for all.! We enjoyed eating together in the big window area and there were enough outdoor chairs and cushions for when the sun shone. Amazing place! The welcome pack was most generous. Everything about the venue was of a very high standard. The bathrooms were exceptional, the living area most comfortable for all 10 of us to spread out and the patio area a most welcome addition.

A really lovely place to stay, Well equipped, met our needs perfectly. Lovely welcoming goodies, we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We hired both Orchard Barn and Thames View to celebrate a significant family birthday and Christmas. There were 10 of us at our largest and having both properties was perfect as it gave everyone enough space to relax. The properties have everything you need, even to create a full on Christmas dinner! Location wise the village itself is super cute aRead morend in a short car ride you can really explore.
