TRADITIONAL BYRE OVERLOOKING ORCHARDS WITHIN A PEACEFUL VILLAGE

Well secluded within a quintessential English village, with its mix of honey stone cottages and traditional public houses. Tucked back from the road behind a farmhouse the byre has been restored by the owners with a mix of character and contemporary style which is warm and inviting for family and friends.

Upper Brailes is just east of Shipston on Stour and is set on the edge of the Cotswolds within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and offers a wealth of walking, with villages just ready to explore. Attractions within easy access include Shakespeare’s birthplace Stratford upon Avon, Warwick Castle, Oxford with its dreaming spires and Cheltenham home of the Gold Cup. There are also many National Trust Properties and gardens to explore which include Blenheim Palace and Chastleton House, Brook Cottage Garden, the Bloxham Museum and the Civil War battlefield of Edgehill. For shoppers, Bicester shopping village is also within easy access and offers a great day out. Foodies will love the good selection of nearby pubs and restaurants, the local French artisan bakers and award winning butchers shop. 

The single-storey accommodation offers THREE bedrooms: There are 2 steps leading to 1 double with en-suite shower and WC, 1 double and 1 single. Bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Lounge with woodburner (first basket of logs included), SkyTV (basic sky package), BT sports and DVD. Kitchen/diner is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. Outside there is a patio area with garden furniture and pretty open gardens which include an orchard and croquet lawn. Relax in the garden and enjoy watching the wildlife or try a game of boules or croquet with the family.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. The cottage is comfortable, clean and well equipped. There are walks just over the road and the village pub and shops are less than a mile away. The garden is great as well, stretching up the hillside through an orchard, with great views at the top (through the trees). The owners are lovely too. The week we sRead moretayed was very wet, & they let us know when the road into Shipston was shut due to flooding. Shipston is a quaint town with nice shops, only 5 mins Hide

A lovely holiday home that is well equipped and in a beautiful setting. We enjoyed some local walks in the evening as we were there in the heatwave but consequently enjoyed some stunning sunsets from the top of Castle Hill...worth the short trek to the top! Comfortable, clean and incredibly well equipped. The owners couldn't have thought of anything else. The welcome basket was lovely and very appreciated. Beautiful, peaceful garden, we didn't put the TV on once. Importantly for dog owners, if a secure garden is an absolute priority for you, this garden is not secure for any size dog

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything we needed was provided. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. A welcome pack was provided as was dog bowls, a super doggie shower with towels. A lovely garden. Very approachable owners too would consider a revisit.

The cottage is very clean & comfortable . Well equipped kitchen & lovely large bedrooms that are decorated beautifully. The welcome basket was a lovely personal touch & very much appreciated. We had a lovely time in Willand Byre. It was very clean, very well equipped & in a lovely area. We appreciated the welcome pack, especially the delicious home pressed apple juice. The local butchers sausages & pork pie were excellent as was the bread and cakes from the French Artisan Bakery. We highly recommend staying here.

This was a clean, tidy and very well equipped bungalow in a quiet location. The welcome pack was much apppreciated. This was a lovely bungalow to use as a base to explore the area. The village itself doesnt have many amenities and the newsagent is cash only so you will need a car to get around. The cottage was very homely. The kitchen was well equipped. Parking for two cars right outside the door. The garden was very large but not entirely enclosed so keep in miRead morend if you have a dog that would wander. Great converted barn in a lovely location. Very comfortable and well equipped. Fabbo for dogs and for spotting all sorts of birds, wildlife, especially deer in the garden! Good for walks and amenities not too far.

Lovely, quiet cottage, plenty of room, only two steps so nice flat area inside cottage. We went in December, so didnt use outside seating area , but looks really nice to sit. A lovely place to stay to visit the Cotswold villages and Stratford. The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped with outside seating as well to enjoy the wildlife though we weren't lucky enough to see the deer.

For wildlife lovers this cottage is wonderful. We watched deer from the patio every day it wasn't raining, when it was raining they came onto the patio itself.

This is a really lovely cottage in a great location for exploring the Cotswalds and Stratford. We used it as a base to meet with family and friends. The cottage is really well equipped and had everything we needed during our stay.
