Self-catering holiday accommodation in Bicester

If you’re looking to combine a relaxing Cotswolds break with the ultimate shopping experience, our holiday cottages in Bicester, Oxfordshire, are just what you’re searching for. This historic town is home to Bicester Village Designer Outlet, a renowned shopping village boasting more than 160 designer brands at discount prices including Prada, Gucci, Michael Kors, Burberry and Dolce & Gabbana – a shopper’s paradise!

Bicester is not all about the shopping though, it is a wonderful place to go to experience true Cotswolds charm with a thoroughfare of tiny honey-coloured cottages with thatched roofs, the 950-year-old St Edburg’s Church and a bustling market in the heart of Market Square every Friday. The surrounding countryside consists of lush green fields and meadows, perfect for walkers and cyclists to explore – we particularly recommend the Island Pond Wood nature reserve with its circular walk around the forest. Motoring enthusiasts will be pleased to note that Bicester is also located in Motorsport Valley, home to the fascinating Bicester Heritage, a shrine to classic British cars.

If you fancy exploring further from your Bicester cottage, a ten-minute drive through rolling Cotswolds countryside takes you to Kirtlington, a quintessentially English village with a shop and two friendly pubs. Be sure to pop into the Oxford Arms, a 19th century inn and award-winning gastropub with excellent local ales and a daily changing menu. Further afield are even more charming places to explore, including Chipping Norton and Burford.
