Beautiful cottage located a stones throw from the village and minimal driving distance to local beauty spots. The cottage itself is well equipped and comfortable however the garden was quite small even though dog friendly. Our only criticisms would be that there are a few areas that need a bit of TLC. Having said that we would definitely stay againRead more and would recommend it to others. Hide

Beautiful picturesque cottage right in the heart of Bourton on the Water, literally just a few hundred yards to all the shops, pubs, and tea rooms. The cottage was really well equipped and we wanted for nothing. The village is really lovely and there are some nice local walks. A few guests commented on the parking being a bit tight - this is true (Read morethe houses were built long before cars came along) but to give some comfort I have a LandRover Discovery and we managed fine with a little care. Charming cottage in an excellent location with much needed allocated parking for two cars . It does have low beams in a number of rooms so you need to mind your head , and the stairs to the attic room are tight so may not suit anyone with restricted mobility ,but we managed them fine. The cottage was beautiful and exactly as described. We had a fantastic holiday here, the only thing I would say is your not very able bodied the stairs could cause you problems especially to the second floor. The parking is as described difficult but we managed.

Fabulous! We decided to try a staycation this year with all the uncertainty around international travel. We absolutely loved Vine Cottage! Prime location for the town with excellent off road parking. Photographs on web site are exactly as you will find the property. Beautiful area to visit even in COVID difficult times. Try the footpath walk to Lower Slaughter it's beautiful, if we had been more able we would have done more footpath walks so please give them a try if you visit.

The Cotswolds is home to some of the most unspoilt, historic and famous villages in England. Its honey-coloured stone buildings provide a quintessential English charm found no-where else in the world and offer a plethora of welcoming pubs, tiny tearooms and quaint streets to explore.

Once described by William Morris as ‘the most beautiful village in England’, the chocolate box village of Bibury is one of England’s most iconic hamlets, home to the peaceful River Coln and some of the most photographed houses in the country. The famous Arlington Row is a sight to behold - this row of 14th century weaver’s cottages have been the foundation of Bibury for hundreds of years and is instantly recognisable as a symbol of the Cotswold District.

If you’re seeking a relaxing day of sightseeing, shopping and traditional tearooms, head to the charming town of Cirencester, once the second largest town in Roman Britain. Proclaiming the title "The Capital of the Cotswolds", its market square is dominated by the cathedral-like Parish Church of St. John Baptist (one of the largest in England) and can be easily reached from our self-catering accommodation in Bibury, Burford, Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold.

The rolling Cotswolds countryside is never too far away from your cosy holiday cottage, so you can enjoy a variety of outdoor leisure pursuits including those at The Cotswold Waterpark. This popular tourist destination in Gloucestershire is home to 150 glorious lakes where angling, archery, wakeboarding, windsurfing, birdwatching and even rally driving can be experienced. On a balmy summers day, the Cotswold Country Park and Beach is the place to go, boasting the largest inland beach in the UK.

When it comes to attractions in the Cotswolds, visitors will be spoilt for choice. Grab a stylish bargain at Bicester shopping village, talk a walk on the wild side at Longleat Safari Park, experience a day at the races in Cheltenham, admire colourful blooms at Westonbirt Arboretum, keep the kids entertained at the Cotswolds Farm Park, take a tour around Gloucester Cathedral, and enjoy an indulgent afternoon tea at Blenheim Palace. That’s just for starters, there’s plenty more things to see and do in the Cotswolds and you will love them all!
