What a lovely stay. The annex was so well presented, homely and incredibly clean. Everything looked freshly painted and brand new! TV is great, so is the outdoor seating area. Bed was comfortable and room was nice and dark. Only downfall is the roosters....they woke us up each morning between 5:45am - 6:30am so there wasn't any chance of a lie in! The accommodation is really spacious and done to a high standard. Footpaths close to the accommodation and within easy reach of several towns and the Cotswolds. Close to Worcestershire Parkway which is handy.

The cottage was charming and very well appointed with all the equipment - cooker, induction hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave - a couple staying there is likely to need. Even a good fan was included. Provision of power points is generous and a nice touch was provision of USB sockets in bedroom and kitchen. A stunning property, well furnished with delightful use of exposed brickwork columns, and gable ends together with exposed timber beams made it an excellent place to stay. Plenty of very comfortable seating in the larger than expected lounge area. The substantial central heating emanating from a variety of decorative radiators, meat the wood burninRead moreg fire was redundant for our stay! The bathroom, with a large shower, is downstairs and might be an issue for some individuals but not for most. Hide

The Cotswolds is home to some of the most unspoilt, historic and famous villages in England. Its honey-coloured stone buildings provide a quintessential English charm found no-where else in the world and offer a plethora of welcoming pubs, tiny tearooms and quaint streets to explore.

Once described by William Morris as ‘the most beautiful village in England’, the chocolate box village of Bibury is one of England’s most iconic hamlets, home to the peaceful River Coln and some of the most photographed houses in the country. The famous Arlington Row is a sight to behold - this row of 14th century weaver’s cottages have been the foundation of Bibury for hundreds of years and is instantly recognisable as a symbol of the Cotswold District.

If you’re seeking a relaxing day of sightseeing, shopping and traditional tearooms, head to the charming town of Cirencester, once the second largest town in Roman Britain. Proclaiming the title "The Capital of the Cotswolds", its market square is dominated by the cathedral-like Parish Church of St. John Baptist (one of the largest in England) and can be easily reached from our self-catering accommodation in Bibury, Burford, Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold.

The rolling Cotswolds countryside is never too far away from your cosy holiday cottage, so you can enjoy a variety of outdoor leisure pursuits including those at The Cotswold Waterpark. This popular tourist destination in Gloucestershire is home to 150 glorious lakes where angling, archery, wakeboarding, windsurfing, birdwatching and even rally driving can be experienced. On a balmy summers day, the Cotswold Country Park and Beach is the place to go, boasting the largest inland beach in the UK.

When it comes to attractions in the Cotswolds, visitors will be spoilt for choice. Grab a stylish bargain at Bicester shopping village, talk a walk on the wild side at Longleat Safari Park, experience a day at the races in Cheltenham, admire colourful blooms at Westonbirt Arboretum, keep the kids entertained at the Cotswolds Farm Park, take a tour around Gloucester Cathedral, and enjoy an indulgent afternoon tea at Blenheim Palace. That’s just for starters, there’s plenty more things to see and do in the Cotswolds and you will love them all!
