The Quintessential village of Frampton on Severn is steeped in history with many pretty cottages that front the famous Rosamund’s Green’ where you can sit by the ponds or watch cricket on The Green, perfect for walking with paths in and around the village to include a short walk to Saul Junction where the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal meets the Stroudwater Canal and was a great meeting place for ships and crew, as this was the route that the tall ships took from the River Severn to Gloucester Docks a few miles up the canal. Also, within easy reach is The Forest of Dean and Wye Valley, as well as Berkeley Castle, Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust and Westonbirt Arboretum. And for a more cultured day, the spa towns of Bath and Cheltenham, or Gloucester and Bristol both with restored docks where you can enjoy the restaurants and cafes. With small Cotswold market towns to include Tetbury and Cirencester.

This beautiful red brick conversions sits within the grounds of the owner’s home; you’ll arrive through the main gates and follow the gravel drive down to the front door. Step inside where you will be pleasantly surprised by the original tall ceilings and natural light. The entrance hall offers space for your muddy boots, a boot room with boiler and a separate WC. From the entrance hall a door leads to a spacious lounge, here you can relax in style after a busy day, a wood burner for chilly autumn evenings and a Smart TV for your favourite shows. From the other side of the hallway a door to the kitchen/diner a great space for entertaining where you can keep the chef company in the well-equipped kitchen that includes and electric range oven and hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. A large circular table and chairs is perfect for entertaining. From the kitchen/diner a small hallway gives access utility room with washing machine and fridge / freezer and to two bedrooms, a king-size with garden views and a twin room that enjoys views across the countryside. There is also a shower room with WC. The first floor is accessed via the hallway where you will find a further bedroom, a super-king-size zip-and-link enjoying a dual aspect and en-suite bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC.

Outside the property there are areas where you can sit and enjoy the countryside and gardens. There is parking for 2 to 3 cars directly outside the cottage and additional roadside parking if required opposite the main entrance.

Lovely stay in Frampton, with fab welcome gifts from the host. Great country style cottage with loads of space and awesome outside space for kids to run around. Perfectly located for visits to Gloucester, Bath, Bristol and Bike Park Wales.

Had a long weekend break over the Christmas holiday and it was perfect. The location is beautiful and the cottage has a delightful, peaceful setting. It contains everything you could need for a comfortable family break. It is very spacious but cosy, well-equipped and spotlessly clean. The property was absolutely beautiful. We all loved it. Its quite rural in a small village but not too far away from some bigger towns. We drove to Stroud, Cirencester and also Broadway. For us it was just a weekend break and it was perfect.

Superb cottage in a truly lovely and private location. Wonderfully presented and venue for a restful break. Frampton-on Severn is a little known jewel of a village with walks in all directions through charming and ancient lands.

I stayed at this amazing cottage with my parents, brother, and husband. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The cottage is very well located - in the middle of the canal and the pubs, spotless, and beautifully decorated. You can visit many little towns around by car. A fantastic place to stay. Thank you Sue for making it so comfortable and providing all the lovely touches. We stayed with 2 other couples for 3 nights as we were attending a Wedding at Elmere Court. The cottage was perfect. Sue met us on arrival and was always available on WhatsApp for anything we needed. The garden, orchard & view are incredible. We fell in love with the village (especially the Three Horseshoes and their pies) and the whole family agreed we would stay there again in a heartbeat. Missing the place a lot.

The cottage was well equipped for our stay. The added extra of Easter eggs for the children and biscuits and wine for the adults was a lovely touch. We were a family of four plus grandparents and the layout of the property leant itself well to having some privacy each, with the bedrooms being spilt on opposite sides of the property.
