Close to Woodstock in the Cotswolds, this secluded, single-storey, two-bedroom property is situated on a picturesque family farm. Thoughtfully converted, it still retains much of its original character.

This comfortable holiday property is one of two at the same location. It’s the perfect bolthole for a young family to escape city life deep in the heart of the English countryside. Embrace the experience by taking some peaceful walks along the footpaths, holloways and bridleways – in particular, there are several excellent walks from the nearby village of Stonesfield. The property is ideally placed for visitors wishing to explore the wider area too, for instance the academic and historical haven of Oxford, or the grand Blenheim Palace are great places for a day out. To the west are the strange and wonderful Malvern Hills. Closer to home are the local pubs and restaurants in the surrounding villages.

On arrival at this single-storey property, you will notice the open-plan design of the communal area. The lounge/diner/kitchen is spacious with plenty of comfortable seating, a TV/DVD and dining table seating for four. There are French doors that open out on to the gardens. The kitchen is at the rear of the room and adopts a large triangular shape. It comes complete with an electric oven and hob, a washing machine, a microwave, a dishwasher, and a fridge/freezer. Along the hallway are the two bedrooms; the first is a double with an en-suite bathroom with a shower over bath and WC, whilst the next bedroom has a double bed and a day bed. This bedroom also has its own en-suite wet room.

The lounge area’s French doors open to a private, enclosed courtyard garden with suntrap patio, garden furniture provided. There is ample off-road parking too.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Lovely property in a great location. Nice secure garden which was suitable for the dog and it was great that you could park the car within the property. We also enjoyed the basket of tasty goodies waiting for us on arrival.

We loved the cottage, lovely and homely, everything you could need for your stay, even a washing machine, which we found a god send after getting extremely wet and muddy. The welcome basket is a nice touch and gratefully recieved. Lots of nice places to eat fairly locally and plenty to do or attractions to visit not too far away from the cottage. WRead moree had a wonderful time and would happily stay there again. Thank you! Hide

The property is "tired" and the garden untidy (fine if you like a "wild" garden). Price paid for four people however seems reasonable value. Some external noise experienced but then it is a "working farm".

The cottage is in a good location with walks from the door and the welcome basket was a nice touch. Unfortunately the sofa and dining furniture was very uncomfortable and we were plagued by wasps when sitting in the lounge. The kitchen could do with a deep clean as the surfaces felt sticky and there was open, old food in the cupboards from previousRead more guests. Parking being part of the enclosed garden was really helpful when going for days out. Hide

More comfortable chairs required. The shower over the bath is not very good, a few occasions the shower did not work (water pressure low) The walk-in shower was very good.

The Cotswolds is home to some of the most unspoilt, historic and famous villages in England. Its honey-coloured stone buildings provide a quintessential English charm found no-where else in the world and offer a plethora of welcoming pubs, tiny tearooms and quaint streets to explore.

Once described by William Morris as ‘the most beautiful village in England’, the chocolate box village of Bibury is one of England’s most iconic hamlets, home to the peaceful River Coln and some of the most photographed houses in the country. The famous Arlington Row is a sight to behold - this row of 14th century weaver’s cottages have been the foundation of Bibury for hundreds of years and is instantly recognisable as a symbol of the Cotswold District.

If you’re seeking a relaxing day of sightseeing, shopping and traditional tearooms, head to the charming town of Cirencester, once the second largest town in Roman Britain. Proclaiming the title "The Capital of the Cotswolds", its market square is dominated by the cathedral-like Parish Church of St. John Baptist (one of the largest in England) and can be easily reached from our self-catering accommodation in Bibury, Burford, Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold.

The rolling Cotswolds countryside is never too far away from your cosy holiday cottage, so you can enjoy a variety of outdoor leisure pursuits including those at The Cotswold Waterpark. This popular tourist destination in Gloucestershire is home to 150 glorious lakes where angling, archery, wakeboarding, windsurfing, birdwatching and even rally driving can be experienced. On a balmy summers day, the Cotswold Country Park and Beach is the place to go, boasting the largest inland beach in the UK.

When it comes to attractions in the Cotswolds, visitors will be spoilt for choice. Grab a stylish bargain at Bicester shopping village, talk a walk on the wild side at Longleat Safari Park, experience a day at the races in Cheltenham, admire colourful blooms at Westonbirt Arboretum, keep the kids entertained at the Cotswolds Farm Park, take a tour around Gloucester Cathedral, and enjoy an indulgent afternoon tea at Blenheim Palace. That’s just for starters, there’s plenty more things to see and do in the Cotswolds and you will love them all!
