A delightful retreat set within the heart of a traditional Gloucestershire village, within established walled gardens and beautifully presented creating the perfect bolt hole for couples looking to get away

You will be well served by foot within this traditional village, where you can enjoy a morning stroll across the green to the village store for a loaf of bread and paper, and in the evening a drink or two with the locals in one of the two village inns. And in the summer months relax and enjoy the local cricket matches. This idyllic village is perfect for walkers with well waymarked pathways from your front door that will guide you across the picturesque countryside. You are also really well placed for touring with Cheltenham, Bath and Bristol within easy reach. And a little further afield the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley. Other attractions include: Berkeley Castle, Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust and Westonbirt Arboretum. Step back in time as you leave the village green and drive through the electric gates. The ornate iron gates to this simple red brick cottage open onto the pathway that will take you to the front door, step inside to the porch which is perfect for muddy boots and coats after a day exploring.

Step on through into the entrance hall offering access into the kitchen/diner, a bright room with wooden work tops, and shaker style cabinets enhanced with natural light from the many sash windows, the area is well-equipped with and Everhot oven and stove, fridge/freezer and washing machine. There is a dining table and chairs that will accommodate six guests. Step on through into the lounge, simply perfect for relaxing after a long day, sink into the corner sofa in front of the wood burner, there is a TV and library with interesting reads. And when the time comes to bid goodnight climb the stairs where you will find two bedrooms, a king-size with an antique four pillar bed enjoying views across the gardens, along with a wood burning stove. A twin room with shiplap walls and garden views. There is a large bathroom with roll-top bath and a shower with WC.

Step outside and enjoy the established walled garden, the garden consists of well stocked boarders with seating areas to enjoy the sun. There is a communal indoor pool available by arrangement with the owner and off-road parking for two cars.
