Found about 3 miles away from the pleasant Roman town of Cirencester, this tasteful property is quietly nestled in a courtyard setting. It lies in a secluded village in the Duntisbourne Valley, which is perhaps one of the prettiest valleys in the Cotswolds with its Saxon-age village church. There are wonderful views over the unspoilt countryside and enjoyable long or short walks including a section of the Macmillan Way. Central for Cheltenham for the horse racing, Gloucester for its heritage, Oxford for its academia and history, Stratford-upon-Avon for its beauty and associations with the playwright William Shakespeare, and the quaint Cotswold towns of Burford and Stow-on-the-Wold. The region has good access to London and the north via train and motorway transport links. Slightly further afield are the vibrant cities of Bristol and Bath.

Relax in the lounge with its cosy wood burner (first basket of logs included), where you can snuggle up on the sofa and watch your favourite shows on the Smart TV. There is a dining area in a wide corner with a table with room for four. If you decide to stay in and cook a meal there is a well-equipped kitchen with an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Upstairs, is a bedroom with a king-size bed and a further bedroom containing twin beds. There is also a bathroom with a large shower and WC. Stepping outside and overlooking the stream is the enclosed courtyard garden with a BBQ. You are free to make use of a separate lawn area located 20 yards from the property for picnics and games. You are also able to access a tumble dryer located in the dairy across the yard. There is off-road parking for two cars.

Fab week, despite the weather! A lovely comfortable cottage in beautiful surroundings and the owners were very welcoming and helpful. Most importantly for us, it was a very dog-friendly stay, our young Labrador rejoiced in the space to be able to run around in the fields behind, and there is extensive woodland just across the stream too. Very pretty cottage in a very rural cotswolds location. The owners are very lovely older people. They always like and want a conservation with you... Everything you need is there. You will need a car to explore the villages and shops. We would go back if we are going to the cotswolds again. There is also a horse called Beau, and two dogs Nigel and Read moreTilly Hide

River Cottage is delightful place to stay and surrounded by beautiful views of the countryside. The owners were extremely helpful and we felt very relaxed in our surroundings. The cottage was homely, well equipped and had a comfy bed for a good night sleep. Our dog (Meg) enjoyed some lovely walks and was also catered for!! There were blankets, foodRead more/water bowl which was so thoughtful of the owners. We look forward to returning again as it is so idyllic and tranquil. Hide
