The peaceful village of Swerford nestles on the side of the Swere Valley, on the edge of the Cotswolds. A popular village for walkers with well waymarked paths from your front door giving access to some great country inns to include the Boxing Hare and Falkland Arms at Great Tew. The village is well placed to explore the Cotswolds’ villages, larger towns and cities to include Chipping Norton, home to a wonderful antiques centre and Stratford-upon-Avon. For foodies, Daylesford farm shop and Wykham Park Farm shop are not to be missed, and for a day of sheer luxury there's also Soho Farmhouse. You will be spoilt for choice with many National Trust homes and gardens to include Chastleton House and Hidecote Gardens.

Step back in time as you meander through the cottage gardens arriving at the front door of this rustic  quintessential cottage. Step into the dining room where a wooden table and chairs take centre stage with a feature fire place and original cupboards either side to help set the scene. The lounge is just off this room, a cosy space with open fire, sofa and arm chairs with soft cushions and Smart TV finishing the room. The kitchen is accessed via a tiled staircase on the lower ground floor, simply vintage with an eclectic range of crockery and cook wear, well-equipped with an oil Rayburn range oven (Switched on from 20th December - end of March), additional electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge and freezer. The traditional pantry houses a washing machine, and the bathroom is also on the lower ground floor with shower over bath and WC. So, when the day is done, climb the stairs to the first floor where you will find two bedrooms, a double bedroom with ornate bed dressed in French linen and an eiderdown, wake up and enjoy views across the gardens, there is also an en-suite WC in this room. Completing the accommodation, a further double with beautiful linens and ornate wall paper, enjoying garden views.

This is a delightful, characterful cottage set in a beautiful garden. A certain level of fitness is required to navigate the three floors. Swerford is a friendly, quiet village.

Unique cottage and garden, lovely. Perfect location. Friendly owners. Good pub neareby For our family (2 adults and 2 mature children) lack of space and storage room. A bit too full of decoration, but very cosy. Sanitary clean, overall cleanliness could be better.
