The cottage is in a great position overlooking the town. Its a bit of a climb to get up from town, but good for the thighs! The owner had left us wine, oranges and coffee, which was much appreciated. The rooms are compact but comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the walk from Bradford to Avoncliff and beyond, either along the riverRead more or the canal. The train station is convenient for days out in Bath or Bristol. Our dog enjoyed it too. Hide

A lovely, warm comfortable cottage. It's very well equipped and the views from every window are glorious. The photos don't really do it justice. There are walks in all directions from the doorstep and Bath is ten or so minutes away on the train. We can't wait to return. Kate and Stephen

Lovely cottage at the top of the hill with amazing views over the town. We were also greeted with a bottle of rose, which was very kind. Everything felt covid safe and we never had to interact with anyone in-person to enter the property.

We enjoyed the property, and the views are fantastic, but access to the property from the town is very challenging. Good if you want to lose weight! The three rooms are on three floors, there is not much headroom in the bedroom, and the ensuite is bijou. There is a good shop and good bus service within easy walking distance.

The Cotswolds is home to some of the most unspoilt, historic and famous villages in England. Its honey-coloured stone buildings provide a quintessential English charm found no-where else in the world and offer a plethora of welcoming pubs, tiny tearooms and quaint streets to explore.

Once described by William Morris as ‘the most beautiful village in England’, the chocolate box village of Bibury is one of England’s most iconic hamlets, home to the peaceful River Coln and some of the most photographed houses in the country. The famous Arlington Row is a sight to behold - this row of 14th century weaver’s cottages have been the foundation of Bibury for hundreds of years and is instantly recognisable as a symbol of the Cotswold District.

If you’re seeking a relaxing day of sightseeing, shopping and traditional tearooms, head to the charming town of Cirencester, once the second largest town in Roman Britain. Proclaiming the title "The Capital of the Cotswolds", its market square is dominated by the cathedral-like Parish Church of St. John Baptist (one of the largest in England) and can be easily reached from our self-catering accommodation in Bibury, Burford, Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold.

The rolling Cotswolds countryside is never too far away from your cosy holiday cottage, so you can enjoy a variety of outdoor leisure pursuits including those at The Cotswold Waterpark. This popular tourist destination in Gloucestershire is home to 150 glorious lakes where angling, archery, wakeboarding, windsurfing, birdwatching and even rally driving can be experienced. On a balmy summers day, the Cotswold Country Park and Beach is the place to go, boasting the largest inland beach in the UK.

When it comes to attractions in the Cotswolds, visitors will be spoilt for choice. Grab a stylish bargain at Bicester shopping village, talk a walk on the wild side at Longleat Safari Park, experience a day at the races in Cheltenham, admire colourful blooms at Westonbirt Arboretum, keep the kids entertained at the Cotswolds Farm Park, take a tour around Gloucester Cathedral, and enjoy an indulgent afternoon tea at Blenheim Palace. That’s just for starters, there’s plenty more things to see and do in the Cotswolds and you will love them all!
