Exchange cottage very nice and situated in a small village, couple of issues not enough cutlery when four people staying, also hot water went cold after two people had showered, but we did enjoy our stay and plenty of places to visit and walks nearby.

Cottage is brilliantly located in Northleach, both for access to the small centre of that village but also for loads of great Cotswolds attractions nearby. Interior is well presented and warm, in an interesting converted telephone exchange building. A couple of windows have some issues with being fogged up and really bad condensation on the inside Read moretoo, leading to some dark mouldy spots around the window frames. Three toilets for this two bed cottage is more than enough. Bathrooms decent. Hide

Nice cottage, warm and cosy and nicely decorated, but several issues that need sorting out. Self catering, but no storage for groceries in the kitchen, and the fridge is ridiculously small. Other issues in the en-suites that need sorting out. If these issues were addressed, it would be very good.

Exchange cottage was a very comfy home for the week in a nice and quiet location. Amenities close by should you run out of anything, although we were very well catered for with the basic requirements. Other places we visited were no more than 30/40 minute drive away and lots of lovely walks right on your doorstep. We would definitely stay again.

The Cotswolds is home to some of the most unspoilt, historic and famous villages in England. Its honey-coloured stone buildings provide a quintessential English charm found no-where else in the world and offer a plethora of welcoming pubs, tiny tearooms and quaint streets to explore.

Once described by William Morris as ‘the most beautiful village in England’, the chocolate box village of Bibury is one of England’s most iconic hamlets, home to the peaceful River Coln and some of the most photographed houses in the country. The famous Arlington Row is a sight to behold - this row of 14th century weaver’s cottages have been the foundation of Bibury for hundreds of years and is instantly recognisable as a symbol of the Cotswold District.

If you’re seeking a relaxing day of sightseeing, shopping and traditional tearooms, head to the charming town of Cirencester, once the second largest town in Roman Britain. Proclaiming the title "The Capital of the Cotswolds", its market square is dominated by the cathedral-like Parish Church of St. John Baptist (one of the largest in England) and can be easily reached from our self-catering accommodation in Bibury, Burford, Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold.

The rolling Cotswolds countryside is never too far away from your cosy holiday cottage, so you can enjoy a variety of outdoor leisure pursuits including those at The Cotswold Waterpark. This popular tourist destination in Gloucestershire is home to 150 glorious lakes where angling, archery, wakeboarding, windsurfing, birdwatching and even rally driving can be experienced. On a balmy summers day, the Cotswold Country Park and Beach is the place to go, boasting the largest inland beach in the UK.

When it comes to attractions in the Cotswolds, visitors will be spoilt for choice. Grab a stylish bargain at Bicester shopping village, talk a walk on the wild side at Longleat Safari Park, experience a day at the races in Cheltenham, admire colourful blooms at Westonbirt Arboretum, keep the kids entertained at the Cotswolds Farm Park, take a tour around Gloucester Cathedral, and enjoy an indulgent afternoon tea at Blenheim Palace. That’s just for starters, there’s plenty more things to see and do in the Cotswolds and you will love them all! Our holiday homes in the Cotswolds are the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploration, why not have a browse?
