Great little cottage that fits 4 adults easily. Great facilities including two en suite bathrooms and an additional toilet. Although the kitchen is small, it has a dishwasher and washer dryer in addition to the fridge and cooker. Dishwasher and washing machine tablets were included as well as all bedding, towels, tea towels and dish cloth. Lovely comfortable accommodation, in a perfect location. Definitely needs a freezer and a nice patio, rather than sitting on stones!

The Exchange Cottage is a beautiful property, very cosy and well equipped. We've stayed there twice and really enjoyed our holiday. However, it's not really suitable for disabled people, due to the low toilets, especially in the downstairs en suite. Northleach is a very friendly welcoming town, and we found the Cotswolds Store very useful for purchRead moreasing essentials, e.g. fruit and veg, bread etc. There is a nice takeaway, but for proper meals, we would recommend the restaurant at Lower Slaughter. This is a lovely cottage, however it is really quite small. Our party consisted of two couples and we found that the downstairs bedroom was not suitable for a couple. It was too small and there was no storage available. Northleach is an ideal base for walks and seeing the Cotswolds.

Was excited to be going to the cottage however 2 days before we were informed the oven was broke. Oven was replaced after 3 days without it (half the holiday without an oven!). Would have hoped for a small gesture (bottle of wine etc) for the inconvenience. Nothing. Property is in need of a thorough clean and general spruce up decoratively and mainRead moretenance wise. Kitchen is under stocked so make sure you bring glasses (4 in total) & specific items such as bread knife etc Hide

Exchange cottage very nice and situated in a small village, couple of issues not enough cutlery when four people staying, also hot water went cold after two people had showered, but we did enjoy our stay and plenty of places to visit and walks nearby.

The Cotswolds is home to some of the most unspoilt, historic and famous villages in England. Its honey-coloured stone buildings provide a quintessential English charm found no-where else in the world and offer a plethora of welcoming pubs, tiny tearooms and quaint streets to explore.

Once described by William Morris as ‘the most beautiful village in England’, the chocolate box village of Bibury is one of England’s most iconic hamlets, home to the peaceful River Coln and some of the most photographed houses in the country. The famous Arlington Row is a sight to behold - this row of 14th century weaver’s cottages have been the foundation of Bibury for hundreds of years and is instantly recognisable as a symbol of the Cotswold District.

If you’re seeking a relaxing day of sightseeing, shopping and traditional tearooms, head to the charming town of Cirencester, once the second largest town in Roman Britain. Proclaiming the title "The Capital of the Cotswolds", its market square is dominated by the cathedral-like Parish Church of St. John Baptist (one of the largest in England) and can be easily reached from our self-catering accommodation in Bibury, Burford, Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold.

The rolling Cotswolds countryside is never too far away from your cosy holiday cottage, so you can enjoy a variety of outdoor leisure pursuits including those at The Cotswold Waterpark. This popular tourist destination in Gloucestershire is home to 150 glorious lakes where angling, archery, wakeboarding, windsurfing, birdwatching and even rally driving can be experienced. On a balmy summers day, the Cotswold Country Park and Beach is the place to go, boasting the largest inland beach in the UK.

When it comes to attractions in the Cotswolds, visitors will be spoilt for choice. Grab a stylish bargain at Bicester shopping village, talk a walk on the wild side at Longleat Safari Park, experience a day at the races in Cheltenham, admire colourful blooms at Westonbirt Arboretum, keep the kids entertained at the Cotswolds Farm Park, take a tour around Gloucester Cathedral, and enjoy an indulgent afternoon tea at Blenheim Palace. That’s just for starters, there’s plenty more things to see and do in the Cotswolds and you will love them all!
