Romance will be on the cards when staying in this sympathetically converted barn in the Cotswold’s never-ending countryside, complete with a cosy wood burner indoors for those relaxing evenings in. Well-positioned for getting to know the area, the property is 6 miles from the market town of Thornbury and just 16 miles from Bristol city centre. Shop, dine out or explore local culture with theatre performances and cinema trips nearby. There’s the never-ending scenery of the Cotswolds AONB close by, accessed from the gateway town of Wotton-under-Edge just 3.5 miles away. Visit the country park of Newark Park on the outskirts of town (5.5 miles) or take a hike up Wotton Hill (3.5 miles) to admire the town from a fantastic vantage point.

With exposed stonework, original beams and travertine flooring, it’s clear to see that the heritage nature of this barn conversion cottage has been maintained in its renovation. Cross the threshold and into the cosy lounge, a space where soft seating is positioned around a wood burner and a Smart TV/DVD for restful days and nights. Two steps lead down into the kitchen/diner with everything you may need to cook and an intimate dining area for two. Elsewhere in this ground-floor property, find a king-size bedroom with a lovely wrought iron bed and an ultra-modern wet room with walk-in shower facilities.

From the kitchen access the enclosed patio area with garden furniture, a BBQ and Cotswolds countryside views reaching as far as the eye can see.
