Peacefully tucked away from the hustle and bustle of this vibrant Cotswold Village, this stylish mews house with accommodation spread over three floors is just perfect whatever the time of year. 

Often referred to as the Venice of the Cotswolds Bourton-on-the-Water is one of the more vibrant villages with a busy high street that sits on the banks of the river Windrush. The village is a great start for any stay in the Cotswolds with a variety of attractions. Take a step back in time and visit the Museum or simply take a wander around the Model Village, Birdland is just perfect for nature lovers. For a lazy afternoon why not take a picnic by the river, or try one of the many tea shops. The neighbouring villages are all worth a visit Lower Slaughter, Broadway, Stow-on-the-Wold and Burford to name but a few.

Drive through the gates into this private mews of honey coloured stone houses, the hallway offers a warm welcome, and is the perfect place to leave your coats and boots after a day exploring. The open-plan lounge/diner offers a great space for a family, with a comfortable corner sofa creating a space to enjoy a movie or on a rainy day a board game, the dining area with table and chairs takes centre stage with French doors that open onto the gardens. The kitchen contemporary in style and well-equipped offers electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a separate WC on this floor. When the day is done climb the stairs to the first floor where you will find two bedrooms, one double and one twin which can be made into a double on request at time of booking. There is a bathroom on this floor with bath, seperate shower and WC. Climb to the second floor and you will find a king-size bedroom with zip-and-link beds which can be made into a twin on request, at time of booking, along with an en-suite shower and WC.

Open the French doors and step outside onto the patio, the enclosed garden offers a seating area that is perfect for a supper outside or a lazy afternoon. There is private allocated parking for two cars.

Just returned from a week staying at Bourton Mews. There were 4 adults and 2 children (age 7 & 2). Can not fault anything! House was beautifully decorated and had everything you could need from basic essentials right through to a good selection of games, dvds & books for all ages. Fantastic location, literally 2 minutes walk and youre right in bourRead moreton on the water. Great secure car parking and easy access in and out. Would definitely recoomend. Excellent position for exploring the cotswolds and fairly well equipped acommodation. Living area a bit small but ok for a couple but would probably struggle with a family thou. Good food at the Mousetrap pub just down the road & an excellent co-op within walking distance too.

The cottage is in a perfect location for exploring as a short footpath leads right into the centre of Bourton. It had everything we needed for our short stay and is beautifully furnished. The only negative is that the cottage is very close to the local church with a clock tower that chimes regularly - friends were woken at 5am so this could be a prRead moreoblem for light sleepers. However, this wouldn't stop us returning here again. Hide

We were very pleased with the Cottage. We were 4 adults and 1 child (2 and a half) so we found the lounge space not too bad. Garden was a good bonus. The location of the cottage was perfect and the on site parking was great to have. We would certainly choose it again should we return for another holiday.

A very clean, comfortable and well equipped house which is really well situated for exploring the Cotswolds. Footpaths lead almost from the door for walks to the Slaughters, Stow and other places. The local Co-op is a few minutes walk away and has a wide selection of foods including the Cook range, it's as good as a Waitrose! Excellent location, well equipped house with everything we needed. The parking/easy access to local Shops and pubs was great. House is a new build we were all a bit surprised how noisy the house was in terms of creaks, and getting the temp indoors right was difficult. The proximity of the house to the church meant that we were disturbed throughout Read morethe night by the bells (every 15 mins throughout day and night - and at 6am especially lengthy pealing!) Our stay at Bourton Mews was just what we hoped for. The modern house was scrupulously clean, very well equipped and very comfortable. There were many extra touches which we appreciated, such as plenty of games, books, maps and even a small supply of tea, coffee, sugar and milk to get us started. Highly recommended.

Wonderful clean and modern property, well equipped with all home comforts. Within walking distance of everything Bourton on the Water has to offer and free parking for two cars. We have found our perfect cottage and will certainly book for next year.
