Often referred to as the Venice of the Cotswolds Bourton-on-the-Water is one of the more vibrant villages with a busy high street that sits on the banks of the river Windrush. The village is a great start for any stay in the Cotswolds with a variety of attractions. Take a step back in time and visit the Museum or simply take a wander around the Model Village, Birdland is just perfect for nature lovers. For a lazy afternoon why not take a picnic by the river, or try one of the many tea shops. The neighbouring villages are all worth a visit Lower Slaughter, Broadway, Stow-on-the-Wold and Burford to name but a few.

Drive through the gates into this private mews of honey coloured stone houses, the hallway offers a warm welcome, and is the perfect place to leave your coats and boots after a day exploring. The open-plan lounge/diner offers a great space for a family, with a comfortable corner sofa creating a space to enjoy a movie or on a rainy day a board game, the dining area with table and chairs takes centre stage with French doors that open onto the gardens. The kitchen contemporary in style and well-equipped offers electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a separate WC on this floor. When the day is done climb the stairs to the first floor where you will find two bedrooms, one double and one twin which can be made into a double on request at time of booking. There is a bathroom on this floor with bath, seperate shower and WC. Climb to the second floor and you will find a king-size bedroom with zip-and-link beds which can be made into a twin on request, at time of booking, along with an en-suite shower and WC.

Open the French doors and step outside onto the patio, the enclosed garden offers a seating area that is perfect for a supper outside or a lazy afternoon. There is private allocated parking for two cars.

A real home from home in a perfect location. The house is well equipped, very clean and comfortable. Everything is just a few minutes walk away. The parking is really well laid out and secure. A definite 10 out of 10.

We absolutely loved our weekend in the cottage, everything we needed was there, spotlessly clean, location was fabulous, easy access to the beautiful town of Bourton On The Water and surrounding areas of beauty. What a lovely place to stay! Location was great, easy walking to everything in the village. Secure off road parking is excellent. The cottage was very clean, tidy, comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. Lovely and warm inside when we arrived. Very well situated. Beautifully presented and very well equipped. The welcome gifts were lovely also. We spent some very happy days and nights. The cottage is comfortable, homely and perfect for what we wanted.

Beautiful clean home. Great location. Was a heatwave so windows opened which meant you could hear the church bells but I love the sound and it's not deafening at all,quite quaint . Near to the high street and the fancy co-op but not so near it disturbs you. Would stay again.5*

This cottage was a great choice for our family group of three couples. One of the best we've stayed in - we loved the pretty enclosed garden with table & chairs, and the large indoor dining table. Extremely well equipped kitchen, just as good as home and everything you could need.. All very clean and comfortable. Nice to have summer-weight duvets oRead moren the beds (we stayed in August). Plenty of space for 6 adults, and allocated space for 2 cars. Great location, just a short walk into town. Hide

The location of Bourton on the Water is lovely and the location of the house is very handy for shopping via the lovely footpaths avoiding the hustle and bustle of the main road. Very nice place to stay. The clock tower chimes 24/7 every 15 minutes which kept us awake at night even with the windows shut. Beautiful setting, 2 minute walk into Bourton. Some people didn't like the chimes by the church next door but we found them lovely to hear bear in mind they do go every 15 minutes but they are not loud bells they sound like clock chimes. Cottage is very well equipped and has 2 off road parking spaces which is a big bonus in Bourton. Lovely little gRead morearden to sit in and have a meal or drink. Really lovely house, very clean, modern and well equipped. Probably the best equipped rental property Ive stayed in. The cottage was in a great location to explore Bourton and the surrounding areas. It was clean, comfortable and well equipped. It was good to have two allocated parking spaces as well. We didn't mind hearing the church bells but it is useful to know they chime every 15 minutes!

Lovely stay - we would return. Right in the heart of Bourton-on-the-water. Within walking distance to the town centre and local businesses. Beautiful home that has thought about the little details to make sure you have everything. Towels were provided within the stay which was helpful and avoided us having to bring any.

Excellent, peaceful, very well equipped cottage in great location. Comfy beds, good showers, lovely kitchen. One of best cottages we have stayed in. The showers were an experience to say the least but did not deter from the enjoyment of our holiday. The cottage was in a perfect location as cars not required at all. The housekeeper responded to our enquiries and referred to owner as necessary. Would definitely recommend and return. Many thanks

2nd stay and not out last. The location is perfect for anyone, but especially families with young children - a short and safe walk into the town and a stones throw from some amazing stuff laces to visit. Plus a very lovely soft play in walking distance for anyone with young ones
