A Grade II listed 16th Century cottage situated within the peaceful backwaters of a medieval market town. Perfect for couples wanting to step back in time and enjoy an area steeped in history and natural beauty.

 

With a rich, vibrant history and a beautiful waterside setting, there is plenty for everyone to discover in Tewkesbury. You can take in the stunning scenery by taking a stroll beside the River Severn, or a boat trip along the Avon (available April – October). Tewkesbury Abbey; an imposing feature of the town’s landscape for nearly 900 years. Renowned the world over for its fine Norman tower, the Abbey is just the start of your insight into Tewkesbury's history which you can explore further through the town's museums, Heritage Centre, walking trails and other attractions. Also host to a full calendar of events, celebrations and festivals to include the world-famous Medieval Festival, popular Food & Drink Festival and Mop Fair. Further afield you can explore the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley, The Malvern Hills and Three Counties Show Ground.

Take some time to enjoy the views across the River Avon before you step back in time, this grade II listed cottage forms part of a terrace of pretty black and white cottages fronted with cobbled pathways and seasonal window boxes. Step inside, the living space is open-plan with many original features complemented with homely touches. A perfect bolt hole for couples with the ground floor offering a cosy space for relaxing in front of the TV/DVD, a beautiful Art Nouveau range with open fire set within an exposed red brick chimney breast will keep you warm when the nights draw in. The kitchen area with electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge with ice compartment and a table and chairs are set to the side for a simple supper. So, when the sun goes down there is a steep curving staircase that leads up to a double bedroom here you can enjoy views over the Severn Ham and Malvern Hills, there is an en-suite bathroom with a half-bath and WC (bath located in corner of bedroom).

Outside there is a bench in front of the cottage where you can sit and watch the world go by. There is a parking permit available by arrangement with the owner.

We really enjoyed our break at the cottage and the owners were lovely and very helpful. We would love to stay there again. It was fun and relaxing, and the local restaurants were excellent. The town looks very appealing.

This is a beautiful cottage in a fantastic location,very quiet yet only a short walk from the high street,great local pubs and restaurants. The owners are so welcoming and informative. We will definitely returning. Karl& Danielle.

This is a wonderful, very small house with an amazing view over the river and the fields of the Ham. It is incredibly quiet considering it's just around the corner from the Abbey and the high street. Within easy walking distance are all the shops, pubs and three amazing Indian restaurants. We spent the week walking in the Malvern hills and hopefullRead morey we will soon go again. Hide

Ideally situated for the tourist who wants to visit this magnificent corner of England; probably one of the best addresses in Tewkesbury, a town which is itself one of the most beautiful in the whole region; Mill Bank 9 is a lovely cottage, part of a splendid group of very well restored 15th century houses, and enjoys absolutely magnificent views aRead morend peace. It's a charming, cosy cottage in a lovely position which has all the requirements for a pleasant holiday. It is close to all that Tewkesbury offers and meets expectations for a house of its age. The pleasant and helpful hosts are nearby.

We used Tewkesbury as a base to explore the.Cotswolds, Bath and Bradford upon Avon which worked out perfect. The cottage is small but location and view made up for it for us. The property owners Bill and Dawn live next door. They are wonderful people who made us very welcome.

Beautiful cottage in a fantastic location really close to Tewkesbury Abbey. Plenty of walks and bike rides near by and close to all amenities that Tewkesbury has to offer. Plenty of restaurants and pubs within walking distance. Brilliant views across the 7 Ham, Avon and the Severn.

We had an amazing stay here. The cottage was perfect in every way, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We loved being able to open the stable door at breakfast and evenings and look over the fields and river. Close to the town, lovely walks, and cathedral. The wildlife was beautiful. Beautiful, quirky, cosy cottage in a perfect location. Wonderful views & only a few minutes walk to many cafes, pubs & restaurants. Bill & Dawn are lovely hosts, very welcoming, checking we had all we needed and offering restaurant suggestions when asked. We spent Christmas at this lovely quaint little cottage, ideally located, it was just what we were looking for! Its small, but perfect for two people! The open fire made it cosy and we absolutely loved it. The bedroom is lovely and spacious. As a base to explore the Malvern Hills and the surrounding Cotswolds it is perfect. This lovely cottage is all the nicer for being so small and cosy. Just the two rooms plus the toilet closet. Wonderful and relaxing, and surprisingly well equipped for the size. Terrific views too in a beautiful setting.

Absolutely perfect position in Tewkesbury - facing out to the river, sunsets and distant hills, very peaceful and friendly passers-by - and yet just yards from the town with lots of restaurants and pubs, and the beautiful Abbey. The owners next door are friendly and helpful and all in all we loved it and didn't want to leave!

A clean cottage and well equipped, my partner and I loved everything about it. Easy walk to the rest of the town and a lovely view. It was incredibly peaceful, friendly hosts, and a very unique place to stay.
