Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life at this quaint cottage in the charming village of Tiddington a mile from the centre of Stratford upon Avon. Culture vultures can explore the town of Stratford, birthplace of William Shakespeare, visiting the 5 trust properties - 3 in the town itself and 2 a short distance away, all linked by an open top bus - and perhaps take in a visit to one of the two theatres run by the RSC. The cottage is an excellent base to explore the Cotswolds and the historic towns of Warwick Royal Leamington Spa and Oxford along with the cities of Birmingham and Coventry. Feel free to enjoy the countryside either by foot or on two wheels and discover local tracks and walks, perhaps take a boat out on the river. After your busy day why not eat at one of the local restaurants in the village – there is an excellent Indian, Chinese and Tapas bar along with the village pub.
Reminiscent of years gone by, featuring charming, exposed ceiling beams, the spacious kitchen will capture your imagination, inspiring you to get creative with your wonderful local produce. The wood burner effect electric fire creates a truly warming ambience in the cosy lounge/diner, setting the scene for pure relaxation at the end of a busy day’s adventure – you can unwind and dine with loved ones long into the evening. Upstairs, wash off a long day on the local trails in the family shower room before retiring to a king-size, double or twin bedroom (the twin is accessed via the king-size bedroom), each boasting wonderful original features, including ceiling beams and sloping ceilings, that echo the cottage’s rich history and heritage.
Soak up the fresh, countryside air by dining alfresco with a glass of something chilled on the patio in the garden, admiring the sweet sounds of birdsong as the evening draws in. Children can let off some steam before bedtime by playing garden games on the large lawn. Outside, you’ll find on-street parking subject to availability.
