Cottage holidays in Broadway

Whilst the pretty village of Broadway may only be small, it is perfectly formed and provides the absolute definition of a Cotswolds scene. The high street, with beautiful period honey-coloured houses sweeping through to a myriad of independent shops and eateries before ending at the village green, is worth a visit alone.

Situated within the county of Worcestershire yet close to the border with Gloucestershire, Broadway has long been heralded as the ‘gateway’ to the Cotswolds and entices many visitors to explore its artistic and historic roots with access to a plethora of art galleries, antique shops and museums as well as the celebrated Broadway Arts Festival in June. Nearby you'll find several other charming towns to visit, such as Chipping Campden, Moreton-in-Marsh and Stow-on-the-Wold.

If being outdoors is where it’s at for you, enjoy scenic walks in the local idyllic countryside along the Cotswold Way and take in the breath-taking views from the top of the Broadway Tower which boasts panoramic views of a 62-mile radius on a clear day: a photographer’s dream.

But if you prefer to keep your feet firmly on the ground, train enthusiasts will be delighted to discover that the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway now extends from Cheltenham to Broadway allowing passengers and visitors alike to admire the newly restored Broadway station which stands in almost all its original glory.

Who could resist a holiday cottage break in this village with the beauty of the Cotswolds at your feet?
